running Vista on laptop. ISP is comcast, using an ARRIS Touchstone Telephony modem. I do have VOIP. I can not get any of the options to connect to the internet. I notice that Vista is not mentioned in any documentation for installation. What do I need to gather as far as info in order to get this Z100G working?

You might need to clone the MAC address of the computer you used to connect to Comcast OR if you have another firewall, you might need to clone its MAC address to the ZA100

Turn off IP6 in Vista

You basically want to set the ZA100 to always online... and reboot the Arris after hooking it up and setting up the ZA100

Hope i got it, been a little while since iv dealt with Comcast

not sure what made it work, but i did clone the MAC and turned off the IP6. the wizard returned a blank not found webpage. but when i went to the network seeting it said i was connected. so i finished off the install. seems to be working. thanks bugeek!

Im gonna go out on a limb here,, but expect your router to magically update itself if youve entered the registration code and registered it... sometimes it takes a few days for the registration code to be emailed *AND* watch your junk mail folder... sometime after you enter it the router will auto-reboot and see what happens.. If your using wireless, you might want to re-run the wizard... and enable the wireless bridging... ALLOW NON IP Protocols otherwise you'll run into other issues esp with windows networking if you use this (of want to use something like Itunes or anything that uses windows style sharing like say Windows Media Player)
