There are a lot of requests for syslog capabilities. I posted to this thread:

Which was replied to and a request to explain and post to the suggestions group. This group already has a 5 star rating for the syslog facility here:

But for some reason both topics have been closed to new posts - perhaps someone could explain the logic behind this, as all the information is in the news groups. Why close the topics - is this an indication that the request is to be ignored? Because that is what it looks like, syslog is a subject that is now taboo in these forums.

I really am at a loss to understand!

They have been closed because:

1) suggestions should be placed in the suggestions forum.
2) we thank all of you for your input and are considering adding the functionality and since a couple of users have been lashing out the threads have been closed.
