When I connect to a network via this web interface vpn, I remote desktop into a computer on the network. With the Z100G, the RDP session locks up within minutes.
Please help me determine why this router locks up a connection using this vpn.
Good Luck with this. I would be interested in knowing the fix for this too. This one of the many reasons why I sold this router. I opened a ticket with sofaware but could never get any useful help or answers as how to resolve this issue.
I have a ticket open and I'm going to chat online with the folks 7 hours ahead from my timezone tomorrow, hopefully. But I just won't take too much more time waiting for bugs to be fixed and limitations to be overcome with this device.
I believe you cannot DMZ one of the LAN links with this router, nor can QoS be managed. These things are becoming insurmountable disadvantages for me.

This device will let you DMZ one ip address, but no QoS which was a major disadvantage for me to. What absolutely drove me nuts though, was the RDP disconnects. Constantly disconnect.
I did that just now. I chose 'My Computer' to allow the vpn on the computer I am currently working on. I connected to the vpn, launched my RDP session on one of the computers. The session locked up just as before. Question 1. Would there be something related to Windows Terminal services I would need to configure to the RDP session not to lock up? Question 2. Why do colleagues of mine not have to consider individually configuring VPN server settings on their router? Should this be necessary? My colleagues with their linksys or dlink routers are not taking any special steps.

Can you point me in the help or the userguide as to how to go about DMZ'ing one ip address?
Also, Is no QoS hampering my use of VOIP such as magic jack or vonage? These work, but not perfectly. Thanks
