Stan, What do you mean by nothing works? Can you log in and set it up for internet access? Can you pull reports? Other than that, I'm not sure there is anything else that is not in the subscription, including firmware updates.

Mebby you should buy a subscription.. you bought a service, not just a piece of hardware.. But I think theres something wrong if it locks you out of the config pages...

So, I wonder what will happen when the Z100 eventually goes EOL. Will Sofaware kill all services for Z100G's in the field? This is one of the major pitfalls for buyers who get locked into pay subscriptions for these features which are standard on other brands or routers.

I tried several other brands (that I will not mention here as I have not reviewed the rules about posting the brand names of competitive products... and in addition I'm not going to be kind...)
Anyway the ones I bought and tested were all pure crap when it came to the parenteral filtering features. This was about one year ago, so perhaps the market has changed, but all I can say is that when I bought my two Z100Gs it was clearly worth the money to me after the frustration I went through with the other brands!
In terms of the Z100G going end of life, this is just my humble opinion but I suspect that as long as a reasonable number of us keep paying our $70/year and the technology doesn't take a real QUANTUM leap (and make our units obsolete) that it will be supported ;-)
