I've tried to get tech support to help with allowing my wireless computer to access my LAN resources (printers and NAS), but haven't had any luck. I was told that:
"Currently the Z100 doesn't offer Bridge mode in order to enable LAN and WLAN bridging - we are planning on offering bridge mode in an upcoming release. "
When I asked if there was currently no way to access these resources using the Z100G, the response was:
"You can access them using NBT: \\IP and via other non IP protocols."
I asked for more info on how to do this but haven't gotten a response after more than a week.
This is a sore spot for this device at this point. Think thats why they are slow to respond to people cuz ideally they are working on the bridging being enabled soon.. Iv run into it, others have.. Anything involving broadcast packets has issues, (Itunes/Bonjour, network storage)... In some cases, it can be worked around with the wlan/lan any lan/wan any rule but it wont work for most things.. but it seems to help with getting printers on the zonealarm visible to wireless people.. Knock on wood.. I know im waiting for bridging.
Thanks for the reply. Without bridging, the product is usless to me. I live and die with my network storage. I tried the wlan/lan any lan/wan any rule, but that didn't work for me. I guess I can just hope that they provide this upgrade soon, because the Z00G is just an expensive paperweight right now. -- Rick

Bridging will soon be available for the Z100, please note you can access the network storage device (NAS) by: start>run>\\IP (in the Windows PC - where IP is the NAS IP address).
