Just received the update for the 7.0.3.8x firmware, rebooted the router.
Now the web filtering has only the on and off slider but the categories are no longer there!! Anyone else experiencing this?

Where can I find a log of what has been fixed, updated or broken when a new firmware is released?

Regards,
Michael...

Same thing here. What good is Web blocking if one cannot select what to block and not block?

It still says this: "You can define which types of Web sites should be considered appropriate for your users, by selecting the categories below."

This suggests a mistake was made. A few possibilities come to mind; They forgot to adjust the text or they forgot to activate the "Advanced" link.

The 'Help" menu still mentions the usual options so they must still be available.

Rebooting the Z100G does not help bring back the Internet blocking features.

Yeah, I hear you. Hopefully this will get fixed soon and not in just a month or two.

Can we have any news on this? Can I get confirmation that this is a bug and not just a couple of routers that have gone crazy?

Do we need to wait until the next update or is there something that I can do to get this fixed?

Thanks

Regards,
Michael...

Hi Michael and KBR,
Same here since the firmware upgrade. Web blocking is there, but there are no categories underneath it to choose from.

Anyone Else?

Same problem..

Rick Hays

Hey I am having problems with the board as well, When I hit the reply button here in the forums, I get a blank page. This is the quick reply and it appears to work, and I will know when I hit post.

Just to let you know, I contacted support this morning and they put me back at 7.0.36x to get my filtering back. The unfortunate thing is that if you need the content filtering and have 7.0.38x, all filters are turned off even if you move the slider to ON.

They are looking into it.

Just contacted support as well and they are downgrading me as well for the time being. At least we now know that they are on it and a fix is on the way.

Thanks for the info from a relatively new Z100G user. I was beginning to think I did something wrong during many attempts to bridge my WLAN with the WAN. Finally succeeded but then noticed the list of items in the Web Filtering section. I'll sleep a little better now knowing they are working on a fix.
