Before I send this in for a refund, anyone have thoughts to fix these problems?

1. No print support - Mac machine cannot install an HP 6800 series printer via either USB or TCP wired connection. It can see the machine, but cannot install the driver, although the driver is actually built into the o/s.

2. Router hangs with Mac machine via WLAN. No error... just communications stop. Works fine wired.

These problems don't happen with Windows machines - everything on that side of the fence is fine. Tech support has worked hard on these, but I'm afraid has come up dry on both.

Any thoughts?

Does the Mac have IPv6? If so you might try turning it off.

I found a workaround to the print issue:

Background
The HP 6800 series supports both USB and TCP connections (wired and wireless). When installing the Z100G, I set up the printer using the USB print server port on the Z100G and had no problems with Windows machines, but machines running Mac OS 10X would not install it. The Mac machine could ping the printer, but I could not get the driver installed, despite the fact that drivers for the 6800 are included in the o/s.

Workaround

1. Connect the printer via TCP connection, not USB. (I used wired, but assume wireless will work as well.)

2. If using both LAN and WLAN, set up bridge mode.

3. Edit the printer as a new "computer" on the Z100G view Reports/My Computers, so it can communicate (mac address et al.)

4. Create 2 new rules: a) allow any service to the printer object from ANY, and; b) allow any service to ANY from the printer object.

5. On the Mac, install the printer using Systems Preferences/Print & Fax. It should find the printer as a local printer, using Bonjour connection protocol.

Note: This method also works with Windows XP. Do steps 1-4 above, then add a printer under Control Panel/Printers & Faxes. When adding the printer, add a port with the correct IP address. It should default to Raw protocol, and port number 9100 for HP. Once the port is configured, Windows should find and install the printer.
