Now that 8 is around.. got a few nitpicking questions to ask...

1. Has anyone gotten video to work through AOL/AIM?

2. Has anyone had connection problems with yahoo since firmware8 was released?

3. Has anyone gotten a PS/3 out of Type 3 Nat?

4. (Deleted since it seems to have resolved itself)

5. Has anyone gotten their USB printer to work without jumping ports (9100-9101)

6. Has anyone had problems with their AV software compaining when connecting to the ZA100 via wired using HTTPS? Mine keeps complaining about the certificate...

#1 - Skype works fine. Being a lonely guy I have no friends on AOL Video.

#3 - My Wii and Slingbox work well.

#5 - I use port 9101 - I had to reinstall the vista drivers for it to work.

#6 - I use eeye.com Blink personal and I have had no problems.

Yahoo video works as well but that wasn't the point. the point was I wanted to figure out why/how to get the AOL software to work

Thats nice. but I have a Xbox 360 and a PS/3.. The Xbox 360 works now with the SmartDefense option for it enabled, the PS/3 sort of works (similar problems to what the 360 used to have not being able to host a game, voice issues)

#5 - I use port 9101 - I had to reinstall the vista drivers for it to work. (Iv had the printer flip flop from 9100 to 9101 via the USB with no apparent reason)

#6 - I use eeye.com Blink personal and I have had no problems.
Thats nice, using a pretty much unknown AV software, but I am *not* going to change AV software just to resolve an issue and am looking for a reason *why* its doing it, not a well it works for me but im not using any of the same apps you are

On questions 1 through 3, don't know what to tell ya.

Q4: I agree whole heartedly.

Q5: Gave up on the USB ports for printing a week after I received the Z100G nine months ago. The Brother color laser was configured for a LAN port, and there it shall stay, working flawlessly under Vista and XP via TCPIP.

Q6: Any browser will give you the same SSL cert warning when connecting to the Z100G via https. I submitted a question to support a long time ago (two actually) and never heard back. No big deal here (our configuration) I'm guessing, since this Z100G is set to only be accessed via the LAN, and I only do that when it's disconnected from the WAN anyways.

There are 10 kinds of people in the world. Those who understand binary, and those who don't.
