I am using the built in VPN on the z100g and the Checkpoint VPN-1 on both sides I have high speed connections. The remote desktop works ok but when I try to open a file on a shared network drive ot can take up to 5 minutes just to open a small word doc or picture. Any ideas? the remote computer is using vista biz but i see the same results on XP.

Try turning off IPV6 in the Vista computer. Probably will not help, but I had a lot more problems with networking before I did that.
