Please note, though, that static routes are supported by Safe@Office, our line of small business security appliances.

Why? I've got absolutly simple case with my ISP. The ISP has internal FTP server with internal IP address. When I want to connect to ISP through PPTP, I have to configure internal IP on the WAN interface and PPTP server IP. When Z100G finished connection process, I get new IP and default gateway from ISP and now I can access Internet. But the FTP server access only from internal IPs (after PPTP connection is done all packets go to Internet, not ISPs LAN). Host static route for FTP server through old gefault gateway (internal) fixs the problem.
Why do I have to buy Safe@Office appliance for the absolutly "home" feature! Now I have to disconnect from ISP to access FTP server. It's very inconveniently for me.

And one more thing. For getting access to ISP internal FTP server it's not sufficient to just disconnect from WAN (PPTP) connection. You have to configure new LAN connection for getting access! Now I do it by exporting and importing diffenent configuration files. I feel a shock! I think it's a big marketing mistake to disable static routing feature (nobody will buy Safe@Office only for static routing for $400, it's cheaper to buy D-Link or Linksys and security software for PC). Furthermore the static routing is already in Z100G software. Earlier I'm going to recommend the Z100G appliance to my customers, but now I can't do it, because it's inconveniently to use Z100G in such ISP configuration.

Ditto on the need for a static route. I had high hopes for the Z100G will now have to go back to a plain router. We need one static route to divert traffic to reach a server at another office via a T1 router.
