Ok, just got and installed the Z100g yesterday. I set up the username to allow full access to the router, including remote editing. I downloaded SecuRemote, and am able to connect to the VPN router at home (unlike the piece of junk Linksys RVS4000 that it replaced).

My local network at work is 192.168.1.x. The network at home (where the Z100G is) is 192.168.50.x. Subnets are both the same at 255.255.255.0.

How do I go about accessing the router's screens?

Also, how long after assigning a new DDNS name does it take before it starts appearing around the internet? I can ping my DDNS address at home, but at work the address isn't valid yet. I'm assuming it hasn't propogated around the internet yet, so I'm using the last known IP address until it does.

Ok, I've been trying but am still unnsuccesful in trying to access the admin screen via remote.

I can VPN in, but that's it. I want to access the admin screen of the Z100g router to get to the "Remote Desktop" feature.

The DDNS is working great, so that's no longer a problem. On other VPN systems, I'm used to the remote VPN router giving a new IP address once a remote user connects as well as assigning the DNS server and gateway to itself (the remote VPN router) on the new network/subnet.

That doesn't seem to happen here with the Z100g. I'm still using the same 192.168.1.x numbers according to ipconfig, so whenever I try to access the z100g at 192.168.50.1, it just opens the default search engine page and tries to find it. I also can't ping any 192.168.50.x numbers on the remote network after I'm connected.

I know some of you out there are using VPNs successfully with this unit. What am I doing wrong?

Ok, finally managed to find a posting on a Sofaware troubleshooting page about selecting the "Force UDP Encapsulation" in the SecuRemote client settings. Apparently this is because the Z100g is a setup as a NAT device.

So that's fixed now. I can access the Z100g admin screen and get to the Network page that shows the currently connected clients.

Now, however, I hit another snag. When I clicked on Remote Desktop, I got an ActiveX popup about installing the web version of remote desktop. I did so, but now each time I click on the screen I just get "Error on Page" in Internet Explorer and the page is blank. If I view the source, it's a Javascript page that's obviously supposed to provide remote desktop functions. However, I see nothing. Refreshing the page doesn't do anything.

Do I need to set some rules or something in the Z100g, or on the computer I'm trying to access? The remote computer in question is running ZoneAlarm Security Suite.
