Hello everyone...

I have had the Z100G for about a year, and it has behaved as expected up until a couple of months ago, when it suddenly would not connect to the internet. I cannot be sure, but it appears that this problem amy have started with the 7.5 firmware. My Internet connection is provided by Cox Cable.

The problem is caused by the Z100G not getting an IP address via DHCP. The cable company tells me that they have checked everything on their end and they insist it's the Z100G that is at fault.

And they may be right.

When I pull the Z100G out and replace it with a Belkin router, the Belkin has no trouble picking up an IP via DHCP.

Further, when I connect the Z100G's WAN connector to a LAN connector on the Belkin, the Z100G picks up an IP address via the Belkin's DHCP just fine.

Just to be sure, I picked up a replacement cable modem, and the Z100G still has the same problem. I have also tried a few other wireless routers from various manufacturers, and they all work with either cable modem just fine.

So, it's specifically a problem with the Z100G.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on what to try?

It's crazy to have to use another router between the Z100G and the cable modem. THere must be a fix for this.

All help appreciated.
