I had a problem last night with a guest who came over and tried to use my network

The hardware
Siemens-Fujitsu lifebook with WPA
HP Pocket PC with WPA

I entered the passphrase on the lifebook and ALL the clients on the wireless network could no longer connect to the WLAN... but it could connect and get an IP...

Same thing happened with the PocketPC...

Turned off Mac Address filtering
Added them to the list anyways...

Turned off both the Lifebook and the PocketPC..
my own laptop connected fine...after a reboot...

Tried contacting support... Didnt know of the issue (Wendy)...

Noticed some funkiness with the log last night with the whole TKIP/AES thing but it scrolled off by this morning...

Am wondering if its an issue similar to the problems people were having connecting a PocketPC...

Hi there!, did you try contacting help desk? This problems arise when some drivers can't handle AES/TKIP.
Z100G ask for a prefered encription method, so you have to lock in some of these two methods, but not both. The only way to do it right now is to contact help desk and let them access to your Z100G to make the WAP protocol fixed in TKIP.
There is a firmware patch coming in to solve this, leting you to chose TKIP or AES. I don't know when is comming in...

Hope that helps, good luck

so far so good Smile

I actually talked to the help desk, but since it wasn't in my immediate log and it was a guest, Wendy from Sofaware, didn't see the problem, even though I thought what you just said was a valid possibility and suggested as much...

Re-submitted the connection log, and was sent the TKIP configuration (NOT the one in the KB)... It seems to have resolved the Lifebook issue but will have to wait a little to confirm it with the Pocketpc...
