The Z100G isn't able to connect to the internet. I've got Verizon DSL on a Westell modem. Using LAN settings with automatic DHCP. Any ideas? No problem with a Belkin router that appears to use the same settings.

This just isn't enough information. What have you done so far besides plug it in?

Unplugged WAN that went to Belkin router, plugged it in the Z100G. Plugged Ethernet cable into Z100G. No other devices connected to Z100G. Powered up DSL modem and Z100G. Made sure TCP/IP was correct in Control Panel. Logged in to Z100G set password, time, LAN, DHCP auto select. The Z100G tries to connect to internet, but fails. Tried multiple power resets, ipconfig release/renew. I am using Zone Alarm Pro.

Hi, I don't know verison DSL, but here in the country I live some ISPs use MAC address filtering. So maybe you have to clone your previous MAC (the previuos device known to work MAC address).

My 2 cents, hope that helps

does you PC get a new IP address? Also,I think the last post probably had a good idea. Try copying the MAC address from the BELKIN and put it in the Linksys. Mac address filtering has been an issue with Verizon users of other routers.

Which VZ router do you have?
If you have a Westell 327R you probably need to put the modem in BRIDGE mode (and disabling the wireless from the westell is a good idea at the same time BTW), and move the PPPOE authentication to the ZA instead of using the Westell to connect...

Another possiblity is your not authenticating.. VERIZON in most areas requires a PPPoE authentication.. do you have the password for PPPoE entered into the ZoneAlarm Router?

I didnt have Mac address issues and i have Verizon DSL

This worked for me, your milage may vary

I'm unable to connect with the Z100 too. I finally had to resort to a wired modem again. becaue my other router died too. This was supposed to be the ultimate replacement.

I work on the internet; that's why I bought the Z100. It was connected to an Aris multi-channel modem from my ISP, Suddenlink, because I have cable and phone connected to that same modem. The Z100 just wasn't connecting through this modem, and it was up until last weekend, when it started getting really flaky. I believe it died already, and it's less than a month old.

I am, however, kinda glad to know I'm not alone with this problem. It's just been very frustrating.
