I'm using a Brother HL-2040 as a network printer. Z100G is running fw 8.0.33x.

No problem setting the printer up, and it works fine, except for one problem: Every few days the printer port assignment changes for no apparent reason and has to be reset.

If I set everything up on port 9100, it changes to 9101 and vice versa.

Any help appreciated...

I had a similar problem with 7.5 and my printer moving from 9100 to 9101 and also sometimes appearing as two appearances on the USB port... Sort of gave up and just let Windoze share the printer... Am going to pick up a router and eventually hook it to Ethernet like I should do all along (Printer is very Network Aware and is a lot easier to configure NOT using the ZA100)

the ZA keeps wanting to switch it, esp when the printer is turned off than powered up...
if you leave the printer on it tends not to switch as much

I have both a HP 1320 Laser Jet and a Brother P-Touch printer attached to my Z100. The HP changes from 9100 to 9102 occasionally upon reboot. But there does not appear to be any consistency to when it happens.

Please help...

Hmmmm...

In my case it's the Z100 that's doing the changing.
