Two questions..
1. Has anyone used additional AP's with the ZA100... as in id like to setup a WEP enabled AP for *stupid* appliances (Such as some wireless B only things), while maintaining my Wireless G network with WPA2.... 2. Has anyone found a wireless N AP only that doesnt cost a fortune or a wireless N router that can be set to AP only mode...and set it up to work with the ZA100? 3. Has anyone found a reasonably priced 10/100 or 10/1000/1000 switch that fits on top of the ZA100 ;) |

Great questions, bugeek. I have an old Wireless B WEP only AP, and would like to use it to create a WEP only segment for my PDA. I haven't played with it much, but based on my initial 'net research, it doesn't look promising.
Re. the wireless N....if it's range you're looking for, I was able to quite successfully utilize the eXtended Range feature of the Z by using an excellent eXtended range adapter. I started a thread on that that sits a few threads down in case anyone else needs more range and was looking for adapters that play well with the Z. |

Im thinking of for my Nintendo DS and WII.. neither support WPA(or 2)... and my Sirius Stiletto (does do WPA under wireless B, but at the cost of running in mixed mode)....
I should try an XR adapter... Might be just what the doctor ordered for some things.. But ideally id like to see N class stuff for things that are stream-sensitive.. (think Xbox360 and Tivo'esque)... |

While I was getting my Vista laptop's wireless networking, more or less, squared away I had both the Z110G's wireless and my old 802.11G Linksys WAP active. The Linksys WAP was connected to an 8 port switch which was connected to the Z100G.
I still have the 8-port 10/100 switch attached to the Z110G. It works just fine. |
