Just received router today and initial setup was completed with no problems. Since a restart the WAN interface will not come back online (both WAN lights blink green). I have tried to plug WAN port into other known working LAN switch ports to no avail with no link showing active on switch ports. I have changed port setting to various speeds and can get a solid link only at 10 half (inital was 100 full) but even then cannot establish a connection. Resets, power cycles have no impact. I am dead in the water :( Any one have an idea or two?
Thanks in Advance running 7.0.27x |

Who is your ISP? What kind of DSL or Cable modem do you have?

I ran into a similar problem.. But the port speed is odd...
Are you using a Westell 327R or similar DSL router? The only way i got the ZA to work right was to enable Bridge Mode for the modem and have it completely disable wifi and routing (on the DSL modem)... and have the sofaware box handle the PPPoE.... Also if your ISP requires it, you might need MAC authentication. there is a way to have the ZA box pretend to have the same mac address as either your computer or your previous router.... Hope some of that helps.. also sounds like you havent registered the box online yet... you didnt get 7.0.36x which is the current version Let this thread know what happens Bugeek |

Thanks for the reply. I do have a cable modem (charter) and all was well until after (2nd)restart. The interface seem unable to link regardless of trying know working standard eth ports on switches which I can see layer 1-2 activity. It's as if nothing is plugged in at all and the z100g sees nothing as well. This would apear beyond an isp issue because of what I am seeing so far.
Thanks in Advance |
