The offshore support failed to test or resolve my problem and simply wrote it off to a "software problem" although it is clearly NOT, given a whole day of my time testing this.

The default firmware on then Z100 rejects office 2007 native attachments when |antivirus|advanced|When archived file exceeds limit or extraction fails|Block is set.

Either the "nesting" or the "compression" or some other problem with the native .docx format is not addressed by Zonealarm in platform.

But is clearly related to the Z100.

I believe I also spoke to you during the chat.
As per our chat - please provide us with the event log so that we can see the issue; without seeing it (as you said is was presented there) it's difficult for us to be able and resolve the issue.

Please save the event log, and event JPEG screen shots and open a ticket at (please include the event log, screen shot and https access to the appliance via setup>management>https>any>apply ; please also provide your Dynamic DNS (DDNS) name and admin password in the ticket) www.sofaware.com/support

Once open please specify here the ticket ID and I will personally take a look at it in order to resolve the issue (please do not post your IP/password in this post due to security concerns).

Sorry you are having a bad experience. I can't tell completely what the problem is by your description, but it sounds like the antivirus is stripping off Office 2007 attachments of type .docx.

I don't know if this helps, but I have been sending and receiving them successfully with the Anti virus turned on in Default mode.
