Has anyone had problems when dual booting (as in booting into another OS, say, Linux..) on the same system they were using before and being unable to get a DHCP lease unless you reboot the router or turn off the computer and wait a few minutes...

I have had a virtual machine on a computer behind a Z100G. it gets a separate DHCP lease and also has a different MAC address according to the Z100. The virtual machine does take one of the 5 licenses on my Z100 meaning that one computer uses two of those licenses.

So your basically saying since im rebooting into another OS, the Sofa box assumes its another computer and checks out another lease.... Great....

I am not sure, Ii just thought my experience with a virtual machine might be helpful.

If the second OS has a different MAC address it would almost have to be that way. I had always thought that the MAC address was built into the hardware.
