Need help with a couple of issues - would appreciate any suggestions.
1. Misplaced router login/password - how do I reset it to factory defaults (Reset button does not seem to work), and what are thous defaults? 2. USB Printer - Epson Stylus Photo RX500 - the router does not seem to see it, does not show up in Control Panel. 3. Do I need any special setup for VoIP phone? Seemed to work fine with Linksys router, now people cannot hear me half of the time. Thanks in advance for any ideas. - JR |

You can set the VOIP device outside the firewall, some have said it helps to put it as the DMZ device...
THe Za100 does not QOS ... Known problem.. *I.e. It does not give priority to the VOIP device.. I vaguely recall another vendor making a box to just do this (prioritizing the device plugged into it, and then passing off the rest to your router..) Id seriously post it in the suggestions forum. Bit of a known issue.. |

Thanks, bugeek, will try to do that, however how about resetting the router? Not that I can even define DMZ otherwise:)

Might want to grab this if you don't have the CD
Knew there was a "catch" to it.. You have to hold it down for 7 seconds, not just a quick push to reset... Current Z100 Manual (least from what I found) http://server.iad.liveperson.net/hc/s-9995810/cmd/kbres...d=210880&action=view According to the docs From Page 302 (314 on the PDF count) To reset the ZoneAlarm router to factory defaults using the Reset button 1. Make sure the ZoneAlarm router is powered on. 2. Using a pointed object, press the RESET button on the back of the ZoneAlarm router steadily for seven seconds and then release it. 3. Allow the ZoneAlarm router to boot-up until the system is ready (PWR/SEC LED flashes slowly or illuminates steadily in green light). For information on the router's front and rear panels, see the Getting to Know Your Router section in Introduction on page 1. |

Hello jr242,
I am curious-were you able to get your Epson RX500 working with this router's print server? (I have an RX580, and am leaning towards purchasing this router.) Thanks, BSB |

Hi jr242,
Just a follow up to this. I just received my unit Friday, and installed my printer to the print server on the Z100g tonight. The Epson Stylus Photo RX580 installed quickly and cleanly on all my devices. On the rare occasion I need bi-directional support to use the scanner, I just left my USB installation in tact, and can just plug the printer back over to the usb extension cable and change the default printer back to the USB installation. YEA! Now my PC doesn't have to be on for my other family members to print from their devices. Very Nice. :-) |
