You need to specify (or verify) which ports you will use for your torrent application. You can specify a range (ie: 6881-6999) typically underneath the connection options of the torrent application.

Then you will need to configure your Z100G to port forward the ports to the machine that will run the torrent application.

The ports I specified 6881-6999 are default ports for bittorrent, however you can change them to be whatever you want. You can also reduce the range (ie: 6881-6888) if you want. This will just reduce the number of concurrent connections allowed for torrent transfers.

You can't specify a range in Azureus. Just the listening port for UDP and TCP connections. And about configuring the ports on the router. I haven't had any luck thus far. Is it under the Security options and then under the rules tab? Because I did go there and I attempted to make the rules but it never worked. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong here.

Please note I am basing this off:

Checkpoint VPN-1 Edge device
Firmware 7.5.48x
OS X version of Azureus

First confirm exactly what incoming ports (TCP and UDP) you have listed in Azureus (should be under preferences/connection). On my configuration I have the same port for both TCP and UDP (43143).

Now with that information you will create the port forward rules. From the web GUI, Security Section, under the RULES tab. At the bottom click Add Rule then a Rule Wizard should appear in a new window.

Allow and Forward

Custom Service
Protocol ANY
Port Range 43143-43143

The Connection source is "WAN (Internet)
and the destination is "This Gateway"

Forward the connection to:
"you can use the specific IP address of your desktop or use the network object created for your desktop"

Select Log Accepted connections (only for testing to confirm it is working, once confirmed edit the rule and disable).

If you want to create a Network Object, before buildsing this rule. Goto Reports section and under the My Computers tab. There you see the firewall gateway IP addresses for each specific network (LAN/WLAN). Look for the object your desktop IP address and click Add. A Network Object wizard will appear.

Single Computer

Select Reserve a fixed IP address for this computer.

Enter a description.

Once you have completed the steps, start up Azureus and perform the NAT/Firewall test and check the logs under Reports section/Event log tab.
