I have used the Zonealam Z100G for a month now and I have to say I am extremely pleased overall. The unit is much faster than my previous device (I have a product that monitors speed everyday and it has been about 15% higher for March), my desktop firewall has not had one logged entry inbound or outbound, meaning nothing is challenging it, and I "leaktested" it and got a perfect score. Neither of my other products were that successful. Not surprised, giving this device's pedigree.

The first of my wishlist items came through with the WLAN to LAN bridging as a feature instead of rules. Cool!

Here are my other two wish list items in order of need:

1. Additional and smaller licensing (5-pak) or less. I have one more device to add, for a total of six. I don't want to spend $100 more dollars if I don't have to. I only use this other laptop on occasion, and it's a pain to have to add and drop devices each time.

2. URL whitelist/blacklist. It really is a bother that several sites I want to go to and one my daughter is permitted to go to, are blocked with the preferred blocking configurations. By opening it, I am exposing my kids to a bunch of other stuff I'd rather they not get to.

Finally, on the licensing issue, I find it rather ironic that we have argued that this is supposed to be a SOHO device and that five devices is supported by market analysis, yet the next step is 15. Seems like this would go from a standard deviation of 1 to about 4. What happened to 2 and 3?

I am also extremely happy with my Z100G purchase coming from Dlink. I would never turn back to another vendor for home use.

The one wish I have is for the USB ports to be usable for something other than printers. I have no use for them in terms of printing so they go completely unused.

My suggestion would be:

- Web Cam (allowing you to monitor your home while away).
- Scanner support to share among multiple users.
- USB key/HDD support for file storage.

Any plans for any of the above features Software guys? :)
