My Z100G is reporting that it is blocking OUTBOUND connections for "www-http, www, http, Nimda" over TCP on port 80 from several different machines I have on my home network. All three of these machines scan clean with ZA ISS as well as various other AV scanners like stinger and etc.
I am wondering if my AV programs are not picking up the Nimda strain that is really infecting my PCs or if this is a false positive from the Z100G. Any suggestions appreciated! Thanks, Jim |

Jim,
It appears to be a false positive and related to the service. I have come across it a few times and it seems to be related to Nimda-like activities that are really legit. Nimda is seven years old and unless your running a really old version of software (NT, Win 98) or Office 2000, I think all the Nimda security patches should be in place already. Still keeping an eye on it, though. the rocket |

Thanks Rocket!
I'm glad I'm not crazy ;-) I will keep an eye on it, I'm not sure what is tripping the alert... Jim |
