After never having gone more than a couple of weeks of uptime with previous versions of the firmware, I have been extremely pleased with the stability of the "early release" version 8.0.24x. It has been up for more than 67 days!!!!! That equals the uptime of my previous box which cost more than twice what this one does.

From the monthly report I just got on my router it appears that the 8.0.24 has gone from EA to general availability?

Will it automatically start getting pushed to Z100G units that have a valid subscription?

I haven't seen FW8 in either the Checkpoint download arena nor the non EA Sbox devices I use at work. I wish they would hurry along and release it already though.

I got one of the security reports for my router this morning it says at the top:

"Firmware 8.0.24 can be installed on Safe@Office 100B, 200, 400W, 500/500W, Z100G security router ,VPN-1 EdgeX , VPN-1 EdgeW series, VPN-1 Edge I series and all embedded NGX adsl appliances."

Does this mean we are good to go on the update?

It should be pushed out to your device at some point.

I note that my Z100G has been up for over 150 days on 8.0.24X, which is the most stable firmware so far.

I just spoke with tech. support. They say that V8.x will be released in 2 to 3 weeks.
