Hello Users,
i have the safe@office 500W running. Internet is doing fine with LAN and WLAN. The Issue is that if im connnected to the WLAN i get a different IP (Range) as with LAN. Due to this, i can't print on my network printer because this printer is connected via LAN. How can i solve this Problem, in order to print via WLAN? Is there a way to connect from the WLAN to the LAN without bridging the WLAN throught LAN(Bridge Mode)? Mybe via a certain rule, or via "office mode"? Would be great to get hep on this issue! Thanks a lot Philip |

Hi,
if you don't want to bridge you can add a rule allowing your Wlan (or some ip of wlan) to access the printer (tcp 9100 I think). By default Wlan is only allowed to go to WAN. BRgds, Fabien |

If your printer is connected to USB port of S@O, then you can print from WLAN or LAN w/out any rules (I had this setup for many year).
If printer is shared by the PC, then you would need to either bridge or follow Fmartinet suggestion. Unless you want to have one rule allowing ALL traffic, you would need to open port needed for file and print sharing: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/298804 |
