Hi,

Why do I get timed out when I try to connect by vpn?

It is a simple configuration:
I have safe@office 500 ADSL in my office, it is connected to the internet and my public ip is (an example) 192.115.115.115.

I have enbaled the "Allow SecuRemote users to connect from the Internet" and also "Bypass NAT" and "Bypass default firewall policy"
create a user with "vpn access"

I installed the "vpn-1 secureclient" application in a computer outside the lan.
I disabled the firewall in this computer.

I try to connect:
I created a new site, set the ip of the appliance (the public ip), choose username and password as authentication method, set the user and password, tried both standard and advanced but nothing works (timed out)...

any help?

What did time out? The https to your gateway's web admin page? If yes, then you need to allow management access over vpn by: setup --> management --> https: internal networks + vpn

Or did the attempt to setup the vpn tunnel time out?

What do you mean by outside the lan? The internet?

Please be more precise.

Hi,
you go to the setup webpage of your safe@ (http://my.firewall), then to 'vpn' and to 'certificate' menu.
Then select 'install certificate' and follow the wizard.
