Hi

We use a utm-1 Edge with SecureClient.
Our internal DNS server is forwarded by OfficeMode to the Clients.

Some Clients can reach our internal Servers (SharePoint over http) over DNS others don't.

I can't see any rule, on what it depends.

Any idea?

br Bernhard

Do you bypass the firewall on the VPN server?
From the clients that cannot access the over the DNS names, can you make sure they get the correct DNS servers by using ipconfig /all?
Also, what happens if you try to use nslookup?

Regards,
Ido.

Hi Ido

on one client the Problem is solved - there were hosts file entries :-(

Yes bypass is activ. DNS-Server IP is ok.
Should nslookup work over the VPN?

Hi,

yes inside the VPN you should be able to access the DNS server, so you can use nslookup or dig.

HI

nslookup on vista with mobil internet, always uses the ISP-DNS-Server and Hosts on the LAN can't be reached.

The DNS Problem is solved. There are two WLANs and the clients were confused.

Thanks

Hi,

even for a test you can't use the 'server' option on nslookup ? The redirection is on connexion ?

HI,

yes, the "server"-option works.
I only wondered that the default DNS for NSlookup is different. But it's no problem.
