I installed a Edge X and activated the AntiVirus scanning with
SRC: ANY
DST: ANY
Protocol: ANY

The Problem:
I try to download a testvirus from eicar.com.
If i download the virus directly (Port 80) the scanner identifies the Testvirus and gives me an entry in the report window. When i transfer the Testfile to an windows shared drive the scanner recognize no virus.

There is no scanning of traffic on LAN to LAN. If you run a VPN and them try it over the VPN I would say it will catch it.

The scanning engine isn't going to be able to scan 100 Mb full duplex switch fabric.

But the PDF Datasheet tells me that it is able to scan NBT Traffic?!
If i look in the connection table I see in the last column that there is a "scanning" symbol (incl. NetBIOS)

No, but it doesn't says that it scans only Internettraffic...
