Hi everyboby!
I've installed the SMP (ver 7.0.2.55, win2k3) and connected to it two appliances (safe@ and edge).
A "log plan" is applied to both appliance (they are correctly registered) but I cannot see any log coming from.

On smp 6.x there was a process listening on port udp/515.
No process in this new enviroment in listening on that port.

Can anyone help me?

Hi Luciano,

On SMP 7.0 the communication between the SMS & SMC is not done via Syslog anymore, thus no process is listening on port 514 (it was the SMC that was used as a Syslog server).
There are a few things you can check:
1. Do you see the SMS as active in the SMC? if not, the logs will not be transferred to the SMC.
2. If the SMS is connected, what is the gateways status in the SMC? (you can see it in the gateway editor under the Status node)
3. Take a look at the SMS log files (%SMP_HOME%\sms_logs), the files should be relatively small.

Hi,
SMS server is up and running. The sms_logs directory contains :
.swlog
1.swlog
myportal.swlog
which seem to be empty.
Any other hints?
