Hi,

The ports resolution system was moved from portsdb to our own server.

See for example :
http://logs.sofaware.com/resolveport/?portnumber=80&protocol=TCP

What about the DNS-lookup capability that portsdb.org used to provide - is this going to be made available at all??

Thanks!!

As an SMP owner, you can edit the report templates to change the URL to the one shown below.

Excuse my ignorance bu I am not overly familiar with HTML:

I have found the following sections in the clientReport.html file

href="http://www.portsdb.org/bin/portsdb.cgi?portnumber=<tmpl_var port>&protocol=<tmpl_var protocol>"></tmpl_if><tmpl_var service><tmpl_if isPort></a></tmpl_if></TD>

How do I change these to reference the sofaware site

Hi,

To change the old with the new link do the following,
Delete this:
hreh="http://www.portsdb.org/bin/portsdb.cgi?portnumber=<tmpl_var port>&protocol=<tmpl_var protocol>

Add this instead:
For IP use href="http://logs.sofaware.com/cgi-bin/resolveip.exe?resolve=<tmpl_var ip>"
For port use href="http://www.portsdb.org/bin/portsdb.cgi?portnumber=<tmpl_var port>&protocol=<tmpl_var protocol>"

After updating the template click on 'ok' (the template will close up) and then click on 'Save'

If any further assistance is needed please contact our support team

Regards,
Yael

The port reference you have given still includes www.portsdb.org is this correct??

For port use href="http://www.portsdb.org/bin/portsdb.cgi?portnumber=<tmpl_var port>&protocol=<tmpl_var protocol>"

thank you for noticing.
The port reference is similar to the ip reference
href="http://www.sofaware.com/upload/port/?port=<tmpl_var port>&protocol=<tmpl_var protocol>
