hello all,

i have a problem with smp6 & surfcontrol v5.x. when i enable v5 under settings at the smp gui then i get NO customize bottom in the filter part. only with surfcontrol v2 is the customize avaliable. the webfilter works fine, but i must define all rules for each seperate ip in the webfilter admin interface.

where is the problem?

Hi Jeff,

SurfControl v5 moved to allowed/blocked model (like Websense) so you can customize the categories only centrally using the SurfControl GUI. SurfControl v2 is more suitable when working with SMP because you can customize the categories per SMP plan/gateway.

thanks for answer, but i can buy only v5. i would take v2.x more likly than 5 but where can sold me this "OLD?" version.
