User is using SecureClient is for Mac OS X 10.5
(Check_Point_SecureClient_R56_HFA_01_Mac_OSX_10.5)

This error comes up when trying to connect to our network -

Preparing connection....
Connecting to gateway....
User xxxx authenticated by firewall-1 authentication
IKE negotiation failed
Connection failed

As the user is authenticated by the firewall is this IKE error a setting on the Mac that needs to be changed?

I am not sure I got your question right...
Are you trying to authenticate with an Edge device? with a FW-1?
Also, what does it have to do with SMP???
