Check Point® Software Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: CHKP), the worldwide leader in securing the Internet, today announced the availability of new Check Point Safe@Office 500/500W ADSL appliances, providing complete network security and a choice of wired or wireless Internet connectivity in a single, all-in-one solution for small businesses worldwide.

With Safe@Office 500/500W ADSL, businesses choosing broadband ADSL for Internet access can now secure their entire network with a single, enterprise-class unified-threat management (UTM) appliance armed with a powerful stateful-inspection firewall, industrial strength intrusion prevention, wireless security, gateway antivirus and IPSec VPN. More than just a security appliance, Safe@Office 500/500W ADSL is a full-fledged network router, featuring an integrated ADSL/ADSL2/ADSL2+ high-speed broadband modem port, 4-port LAN switch, a dedicated DMZ port that can function as a secondary Internet connection (WAN2) and an optional wireless access point. Static and dynamic routing options are available for complete interoperability with even the most complex networks.

For Internet Service Providers (ISPs), the new Safe@Office 500/500W ADSL appliance will enable them to offer Internet connectivity packages with scaleable, secure remotely-managed security services to small businesses without the hassle of installing and maintaining multiple appliances at a customer's site. Unparalleled and simplified remote management capabilities and true all-in-one security and connectivity for small businesses make Safe@Office a powerful, easy-to-deploy solution for ISPs.

"Technology must be accessible and easy to manage so our small business customers can spend more time focusing on running and growing their business," said Peter Cresswell, national practice manager of Security Bell Business Solutions (BBS). "We were looking to increase the value of our offerings and Check Point's Safe@Office solution met these demands. The appliances will enable us to provide leading-edge solutions to our customers that are easy to manage and easy to deploy."

Safe@Office 500/500W ADSL enhances an ISP's ability to offer a simple one-stop-shop for fully integrated technology solutions that increase their efficiency and help boost their competitive potential. "The new Safe@Office 500/500W ADSL appliances provide service providers with an additional selling point when looking to serve small business customers," said Liran Eshel, chief executive officer of SofaWare Technologies, a Check Point company. "By collapsing the number of devices that are needed at the edge of the network, Safe@Office enables ISPs to offer both connectivity and comprehensive security in tandem."

"Safe@Office leverages Check Point's history of enterprise technology leadership to provide the latest security in a way that's compelling to small businesses," added Laura Yecies, vice president at Check Point and general manager of the consumer and small business division. "Small businesses need the same protection for their data as enterprises, just scaled to meet their needs. Safe@Office ADSL is ideal."

The Service Provider Advantage
Outsourced security services are one of the fastest growing market segments in the security marketplace. To complement the Safe@Office appliances, Check Point also offers the Security Management Portal (SMP), a robust and resilient management architecture, to make it simple for service providers to deploy and manage security on a very large scale.

Solution Features:

"¢ One appliance does it all: Built-in ADSL modem eliminates the need for an
external ADSL modem
"¢ Single point of control: Ideal for service providers, offering local and remote management of all connectivity and network security elements, ADSL configuration, routing and wireless connectivity
"¢ Advanced ADSL technology: ADSL2/2+ supporting PPPoA, PPPoE and EoA connectivity protocols, available in ANNEX A or ANNEX B models
"¢ Always on, always secure: Automatic failover to a secondary Internet connection, by attaching an external dial-up modem or broadband router
