Hi,
I have SmartCenter NGX65 management behind firewall NGX65 with two ISP links in primary/backup mode.
I configured VPN edge device to be managed with SmartCenter. How can I tell the VPN edge device to use SmartCenter via primary or secundary link ?

Thank's,

Matjaz

Hi,

The Edge fully support the Link selection mechanism that supported on the checkpoint GW.
There are several of Link selection methods that checkpoint GW supports in your case I recommend using the primary back method.

In order to configure it you have to open the checkpoint GW --> VPN --> Link selection --> Use probing method --> ongoing probing --> define the primary interface.

Hi,

VPN is working fine via Primary or Secundary link. The problem is, that I have only one management server, so I have only address for Base Server 1 in Edge.
For Base Server 2 the address is N/A.
If the primary link goes down, the management server is not available.
Any suggestion how to solve this ?

New to Multiple ISP-Redundant Conection to MX/WWW

Hello all,

sorry for the newbieness of my questioning but this is my first dive into dealing with more than 1 public block and settign up redundancy. my primary domain - "example.com" is currently working fine, but at the end of the month we will be changing providers for our primary ISP and being assigned a new block( i will ahve 1 month hold over time with the old provider before it gets cut), in the mean time we have also brought in Comcast for a "backup." What the management team wants is that anyone can reach our website or email reguardless of which pipe is up. I host our name servers internally and I think i understand how to point the hosted names (via go daddy) back to me on either subnet block, what i'm not sure of is how i would put multiple mx records or weight them so email and web request come in pipe A over pipe B, any direction would be great. I think am able to handel the differnt ip nating inbound and outbound via our firewall which can seperate based on pipe traffic for web and email.

Thanks
