Smartcenter R55. I upgraded libsw to 7.0.33, upgraded the firmware of Edge X to 7.0.33, reinstalled policy on the edge container and get an error log
Wrong update version in policy (got 424 instead of 500)

The policy.ini in the libsw folder on the smartcenter contains
[PolicyID]
PolicyVendorID=0
PolicyUpdateVersion=516

No combination of change some rules, reinstall policy on container, updatenow, reboot of the edge, reboot of the smartcenter changed anything.

Any idea ?

I checked the R55\FW1_4.1_BC\tmp\<containername>.c file, indeed it contains a version number 424 (R55\FW1_4.1_BC\libsw\policy.ini still contains 516).

Look for a file named sofawareloader.ini or something similar. If the old version is near the top of the file, change it to the new version.

Do a cpstop before and a cpstart after you change it.

There's an SK article that says if you are on a certain HFA level of R55, 15 or 16, I think it was, you do not need to do this. I was above the HFA level and still had to do it.

The strange thing is, I never had to do this before, and am running HFA19 currently - maybe an old bug was reintroduced.

Thanks for the follow-up. I was on R55 HFA17 and when I went to the 6.0 firmware I had to do it as well.
