I currently have an Edge device that is managed via our Checkpoint Smart Centre.
I would like to set up the Edge device to scan SMTP for Virus. I am running R62 on the Management Station. So far I have changed the content inspection rule to scan the SMTP files to the appropriate rule. Then I go to the Content Filtering section of the edge device and select "Use Anti Virus Integrated Protection" When I select OK I obtain the following message. "The VPN-1 Edge Gateway's current configuration will cause the Certificate to be removed. Note: An exported Certificate can no longer be used and has to be handled accordingly. Are you sure you want to continue and remove the Certificates defined for this node?" If I select OK what it the effect of this ? 1) Will the users loss connectivity via the edge device while the Certificates are not re-established? 2) How it the connection between the edge device and the Smart Centre re-established? |
