I have a new VPN-1 Edge X8 ADSL which I configured and now want to register with our SmartCenter Server. When I enter Gateway ID and Registration Key, I always get the Error Message:

Connection Refused: This VPN-1 Edge is not registered to the Service Center.

Gateway ID and Key is right. It doesn´t matter if the appliance is connected to the internet via its internal DSL-Modem or via an external DSL-Modem (connected to WAN2). I tried with Firmware 6.5.32 and Firmware 6.5.35 - the result remains the same. The Smart Center Server (R55 HFA18) has the newest libsw files (provided with FW 6.5.35 on CheckPoint site). In the log I see the connection attempts - there is nothing blocked.

When I try the same (same Gateway ID and Key and same firmware)with a VPN-1 Edge without ADSL it works without problems. So it´s no problem with the Gateway ID or key (which is generated).

Any Ideas? What´s the difference between the appliances with ADSL and the ones without?

You need to install an update on your SmartCenter so it will support Edge ADSL. To obtain this update please contact support.
