Hi I have receently upgrade our firewall to R62 and I am trying to add a Edge X to the management station.
I am able to access the web management interface from the Management station, but when I push a policy I obtain the following error : Installation Targets Version Policy Type Details EDGE Advanced Security Info: VPN-1 Embedded Connector 6.0.8 starting EDGE Advanced Security Info: VPN-1 Embedded Connector packing ConfigSet for EDGE EDGE Advanced Security Info: VPN-1 Embedded Connector generating via rules for 261005b_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1_1 EDGE Advanced Security Info: VPN-1 Embedded Connector generating policy for EDGE EDGE Advanced Security Info: VPN-1 Embedded Connector reducing policy for EDGE EDGE Advanced Security Info: VPN-1 Embedded Connector compiling policy for EDGE EDGE Advanced Security turn getsym(,"hosts",) off EDGE Advanced Security EDGE: EDGE Advanced Security "C:\WINDOWS\FW1\R62\fw1\FW1_EDGE_BC\tmp\EDGE.pf", line 2886: ERROR: constant expression expected EDGE Advanced Security "C:\WINDOWS\FW1\R62\fw1\FW1_EDGE_BC\tmp\EDGE.pf", line 2934: ERROR: cannot find <table_target_list86> anywhere EDGE Advanced Security Compilation Failed. EDGE Advanced Security Operation ended with errors. Does any one know what is happening here ? I am using 6.5.43x firmware on the Edge device. Thanks Matt |

Did you manually update the libsw files on the SmartCenter to 6.5.43? I'm wondering if the above line says that 6.0.8x libsw files are installed. Ray |

I_ve done it with Edge-X 6.5.43 and 6.5.48 with the accordingly LIBSW in the "FW1_EDGE_BC" directory on the SmartCenter Server R62. No errors !

I have just resolved my issue.
The problem was that the edge device did not like a NAT rule that was been applied to our MAIN FW. The problem was found by looking @ the EDGE.pf file and line number. Thanks you all for your help |

What was different about the NAT rule? That's kind of odd. Ray |
